We are thrilled to welcome Katie McCamant, co-founder of the cohousing movement in North America and President of CoHousing Solutions, as our keynote speaker for this informative seminar. She will share from her 35+ years of experience to walk us through where cohousing has been, and where it is headed. We’ll also hear from Development Manager and cohousing expert Danny Milman of UD+P, the only US developer working on multiple cohousing projects. She’ll discuss details of what it takes to get from idea to move-in.
Additionally, Members of Washington Commons, Mission Peak Village and Berkeley Moshav will share exciting details about their projects including timelines and features.

Meet the Presenters
Katie McCamant,
President of CoHousing Solutions
Katie McCamant, a founder of the cohousing movement in North America, has worked with cohousing neighborhoods over the last 35 years as an architect, developer, and now development consultant (CoHousing Solutions www.cohousing-solutions.com). Katie is a licensed architect and coauthor of the authoritative book on cohousing, Creating Cohousing: Building Sustainable Communities, which introduced this housing model to North America.
Danny Milman,
Development Manager, UD+P
Danny's obsession with cohousing started with The Cohousing book in 1992. Her Master’s thesis was a design and planning case study for a cohousing community in Austin TX. After graduation, she worked for several years at The CoHousing Company as part of the development and construction team and lived in the Berkeley Cohousing community. These days Danny manages UD+P’s California projects from the Sierra Foothills in Nevada City, CA.
