Katie McCamant, CoHousing Solutions’ President, is regularly requested as a speaker and sought out as a cohousing expert. As one of the pair who brought the cohousing concept back from Denmark to the U.S. in the ’80’s, and having designed and developed dozens of projects since then, she’s an unparalleled authority on the subject.
Katie is available as a speaker on housing, sustainable development, green building, the sharing economy, and the like. As a national expert, she also regularly lectures on college campuses such as UC Berkeley Architecture School, at forums like the Nashville Civic Design Forum, and at Conferences, like those for Housing California, APA, and Congress for the New Urbanism.
She’s also available as a media reference for cohousing articles, radio shows and TV programs/interviews. In the past, she’s contributed chapters to books and pieces, such as Not Your Mother’s Retirement, and Next Act for Women.
Katie regularly facilitates/gives workshops on real estate development, planning, pre-design programming, etc.
