This intensive two-day workshop will be led by Katie McCamant and Chuck Durrett, the architect team who brought cohousing to the U.S. and have designed, developed, or consulted on over 50 cohousing communities.

JoinChuck Chuck Durrett, award-winning architect and author of The Senior Cohousing Handbook, in a lively 4-hour workshop.

This workshop targets the pro-active boomers of tomorrow: those who aspire to plan for happiness and make the second half of their lives as much fun (or more) than the first half in an affordable manner.

At the workshop, you will learn:
• How to measure the interest in your community
• Steps to holding a successful senior cohousing presentation and Study Group 1 Workshop
• How to secure a senior cohousing site
• Preparing for a “getting it built” workshop with committed households
• Preparing a development timeline for your community including identifying your next steps

Participants are asked to read The Senior Cohousing Handbook: A Community Approach to Independent Living (Review Chapter 7, which describes the Study Group 1 Workshop).
